Contact Lens Services

aqua contactsPart-time or every day…..Comfortable, Affordable, and Fun!

We prescribe contact lenses for individual lifestyles. For many of our patients, we prescribe contact lenses for part time use. Many of our patients prefer the appearance and convenience of eyeglass wear for most of their week and will wear contact lenses for specific situations such as exercise (Yoga with eyeglasses is not easy) or sports. Other patients prefer to wear their contact lenses most of the day and switch to eyeglasses when they return home.

Whatever your lifestyle needs, we prescribe and evaluate all major brands of soft and rigid contact lenses. Additionally, we prescribe custom designed contact lenses for special needs as well as special eye problems. Specialized fitting may include: Monovision, bifocal contact lenses, astigmatism contacts, Ortho K and Keratoconus. We have experience in modifying and polishing contacts.

Our staff are able to answer many of your questions and are available for ongoing contact lens instruction and training. We are equipped with corneal topographers to evaluate the contour of your cornea to measure the precise corneal curvature and other instruments like biomicroscopes to monitor your eyes for the onset of contact lens related complications.

Please share with us your visual requirements and we will be happy to make suggestions on how contact lenses may fit into your lifestyle of optical corrections.

  • A routine exam won’t provide some of the measurements and testing that are required to determine if your eyes are suitable for contact lens wear, and to generate your contact lens Rx. Often contact lens discomfort is not caused by the contact lens. Rather it may be due to insufficient eye moisture (dry eye), ocular allergies, inflammation of the surface of the eye, or inflammation of the margins (rims) of the eyelids. We test for and treat these disorders when indicated.
  • We utilize a large variety of soft contact lenses from a large number of manufacturers to arrive at the best contact lens ift for you!
  • A fresh healthy new pair every day!  These are recommended for patients with eye allergies, heavy makeup use (actors), frequent travelers (no contact lens solution bottles), dusty work or play environments, and part-time wear (workouts and sports).
  • All gas permeable lenses are custom made, and are often the best choice for patients with large amounts of astigmatism, corneal dystrophies such as keratoconus or other corneal problems.  In some cases patients can achieve vision better than they would be able to compared to glasses!
