Scleral Lenses

Scleral lenses are a great option for people who struggle with regular contact lenses due to irregular corneas or conditions like keratoconus. Because they are larger than traditional lenses, they rest on the white part of the eye (the sclera) instead of directly on the cornea. This creates a protective fluid-filled layer between the lens and the eye, keeping the surface hydrated and reducing irritation.

That’s why scleral lenses aren’t just helpful for those with corneal conditions—they can also provide relief for people with severe dry eye, helping to lock in moisture and keep their eyes comfortable throughout the day.

If regular contacts have been uncomfortable or haven’t provided clear vision, scleral lenses might be a great alternative.
