Dr. Shannon Chan, O.D.

Dr. Shannon Chan grew up in Alaska but has spent the past decade in the Pacific Northwest, a region she loves and plans to stay! She attended the University of Washington and Pacific University for her respective degrees. Dr. Chan held externships at Veteran's Affairs American Lake Medical Center, Evergreen Eye Center, and Hope Clinic to complete an immersive and comprehensive medical training in treating patients with Ocular Disease and TBI (traumatic brain injury).
 
Dr. Chan is passionate about advocating for the optometric profession. During her time at Pacific University College of Optometry (PUCO), she served as the 2024 Class President and PUCO Senator. She strives to continue advocating for optometry by being heavily involved in Optometric Physicians of Washington Society (OPW), serving as the current Executive Secretary of the OPW association.
 
Dr. Chan has been a recipient of the Dr. Brian Lee Hill, OD Award, a special award that is given to one graduating doctor, and chosen by their peers for demonstrating "great friendship and leadership" throughout their entire time in doctorate school. Dr. Chan has also received the PECAA Award for Excellence in Future Private Practice for her passion and dedication to the optometric profession.

In her free time, Dr. Chan enjoys weightlifting/being active, playing video games, and exploring new foods/attractions with her incredibly supportive family and partner.
